You know it's a rough world when missionaries are facing the gunpoint of the very people they wanted to render help to. You know it's a rough world when lives are being used as pawns of a chess game, the eternal stalemate that is insurgents vs governments.
I'm not so much praying for the 22 remaining
Korean hostages as I am for the state of the world, because it's quite, quite sad. The war that Islam rages against Christianity has snowballed to such gigantic proportions I can scarcely believe it. What started out as a war against America evolved to become a war against anybody who is not Muslim, and now, is a war even against fellow Muslims who express support for the United States of America.
Islam, like any other religion, is peaceful by nature. I suppose the violence is a response to the
oppression they face. It's a chicken and egg situation here, but the violence will intensify for as long as the pressure is on
. Oppression stirs up confusion in an everyday Muslim, and confusion is the breeding ground for the wayward teachings of Islam. Amidst the confusion, Islamic militanism shines like a beacon of direction, and before you know it, yet another insurgent is born. So, for how long more shall we keep shooting ourselves in the foot?
Dear God, I pray for world peace. Amen.
